Jin Shin Jyutsu® is an ancient healing art of harmonizing the body through gentle touch. Originating from Japan, the name literally translates to “The Art of the Creator Through the Person of Knowing and Compassion.”
JSJ resembles acupressure in the use of gentle, external pressure using the hands, to stimulate the flow or energy within the body (like acupuncture without the needles).
Jin Shin Jyutsu helps promote both physical and emotional health. It is beneficial for a variety of conditions, including acute and chronic pain, allergies, breathing difficulties, dizziness, headaches, insomnia, menopause symptoms, fatigue, reducing stress, improving digestion and so much more.

History
The Art was developed in Japan by Jiro Murai (1886 – 1960), based on ancient principles of naturally harmonizing the mind, body, and spirit.
At the age of 26, Murai had a terminal diagnosis. After clearing himself of the life-threatening illness, Master Murai devoted the rest of his life to the research and development of Jin Shin Jyutsu.
The resulting knowledge of Jin Shin Jyutsu was then given to Mary Burmeister (1918 – 2008), who brought it to the United States in the 1950s. Over the years, demand for Jin Shin Jyutsu has grown steadily, primarily by word of mouth. Mary began teaching in the early 1960s, and over the years saw thousands of students attend her seminars.
